In 1980 after 10 years of working in manufacturing and fabrication, Jim and Mary Gutschenritter set out to fill the gap in area welding services and capabilities. It was then, with the help of family members and a loan from a friend, that Gutschenritter’s Welding Inc. born.

What started out as a small shop providing welding repair services gradually expanded their capabilities and equipment to include several new services like portable welding (units, ½”x 12 ft shear,) metal forming (350 ton brake press), and portable line boring. As the business grew, working space became a problem, which led to multiple shop expansions as well.

Today, Gutschenritter’s Welding continues as a family owned and operated business (Jim and Mary were blessed with three sons who are all currently working for the company). With the help of their sons, and valued employees we have been able to grow into a full repair and fabrication shop.

We are extremely grateful for all the wonderful people & businesses we have met throughout our journey and look forward to many more.
